John D. Hadden

John D. Hadden is a founding partner of Turkheimer and Hadden, LLC.    

Before founding the firm, John was a litigator at a prominent and respected commercial litigation and insurance defense firm, where he represented numerous commercial and business interests and defended hundreds of clients in personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage claims.  He now concentrates his practice on commercial and business disputes, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims, property disputes, and short and long term disability insurance issues.  Although he practices in Atlanta, Georgia, he represents clients in litigation and trial matters throughout the state of Georgia in both state and federal courts. 

John graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Managing and Editorial Boards of the Georgia Law Review.  While in law school, John served as a student clerk for the judges of the State Court of Cherokee County, and worked in the Office of the District Attorney for Rockdale County, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.  John earned his bachelor's degree from Emory University, where he majored in History and Environmental Studies and was philanthropy chairman of Emory's Interfraternity Counsel.  He was intern to Georgia Governor Roy Barnes during his senior year in college.    

John is a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a member of the Amicus Committee, assisting attorneys from around the state in matters before appellate courts.  He also serves on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America) New Lawyers Division, and  is a Barrister with the Logan E. Bleckley American Inn of Court. 

In his free time, John is an avid private pilot and SCUBA diver.  John volunteers his time with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, providing legal assistance to Atlanta's poor and underprivileged citizens.  He also frequently serves as a volunteer judge for mock trial competitions at the high school and law school level. 

John is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial courts, as well as the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court.  He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia (including bankruptcy courts), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Stefan C. Turkheimer

Stefan Turkheimer is a founding partner of Turkheimer & Hadden, LLC.

Prior to the firm's founding, Stefan was a litigator at one of the preeminent workers compensation insurance defense firms in Georgia. He defended Fortune 500 employers against lawsuits in tort and workers' compensation. During his legal career Stefan has handled hundreds of workers' compensation cases. He graduated, with honors, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2004.

While in law school, Stefan was an editor of the Intellectual Property Journal, a highly selective national legal journal that is ranked number two in the nation among intellectual property journals. Additionally, he participated in the Russell Moot Court competition and the J. Ralph Beard Closing Argument Competition, and was chairman of the Intellectual Property Association's Trademark and Sports Law Section.

Stefan was a judicial law clerk at the Supreme Court of New York for Justices Karla Moskowitz and Marcy Klein. He also served in the District Attorney's Office in Athens-Clarke County under District Attorney Ken Mauldin. Stefan was responsible for prosecuting felonies and while there served as prosecutor in over 40 trials.

Following law school, Stefan was Deputy Communications Director for United States Congresswoman Denise Majette before becoming finance director for Lieutenant Governor Mark Taylor's gubernatorial campaign. He also served as a finance consultant for Jim Martin in his bid for higher office.

For Turkheimer & Hadden, Stefan concentrates his practice on severe personal injury actions as well as workers compensation.
